Keertan Adyanthaya appointed Managing Director for FOX International Channels and National Geographic Channels in India

New Delhi, Tuesday, February 22, 2010: FOX International Channels today announced the appointment of Keertan Adyanthaya as the new Managing Director for FOX International Channels India. Starting April, Keertan will be in charge of all existing FOX International Channels in India including its strong existing brands like National Geographic Channel and FOX History & Entertainment as well as its upcoming ones like Baby TV, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure, Nat Geo Music and National Geographic Channel HD.

“I am extremely excited about this new role. This is an incredibly strong and dynamic line-up of channels and my primary focus will be to rapidly grow the network’s business in India”, said, Keertan.

With a career spanning over 15-years in allied fields of the media, he has earlier worked at O&M and Mindshare in media planning where he honed his analytical and strategic skills; followed by senior level assignments at Channel V, Star News, VH-1 and Star Plus, either in the Marketing or the Business Head role.

Amongst Keertan’s many achievements, is his stint at VH-1, a niche channel which he launched and led to profitability while nurturing and fostering a compact team. During his stint at Star Plus he is credited with successfully leading the marketing efforts around big-ticket shows like ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ and working with programmers to craft riveting and path-breaking content such as ‘Sach Ka Saamna’.

His rich experience and in-depth understanding of the television industry in both niche and mass segments, positions him well to lead the network as it seeks to aggressively expand operations in India.
