Mumbai, January 16, 2013: With the start of the New Year, FOODFOOD launches a new show ‘Maa Ki Dal’. The show is hosted by the most entertaining Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi airing every Thursday at 4.30pm only on FOODFOOD, India’s most gastronomically loaded food and food lifestyle channel. In this show, Chef Harpal showcases a unique mother’s recipe cooked with Dal.
Maa ki Dal is an emotional show about the food a mother cooks for her children. The host of the show, Harpal Singh Sokhi takes out mother’s love and emotions by cooking various Dals with them. These dals are made from Tata I Shakti Dal. In every episode, he also cooks a special dish for every mother.

Celebrity Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi is also the host of the show Turban Tadka which is aired on FOODFOOD every Monday to Wednesday at 4.30 and 7.30 pm. In the recently started new season of Turban Tadka, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi uses KISS (Keep it straight and simple) style of cooking by using ingredients of the season and adding regional flavours to each dish. The Chef also emphasizes on unusual and healthy ingredients such as barley, Aloe Vera, sweet potato etc
FOODFOOD was recently launched in Canada on Rogers Cable network. It is available in Qatar through Asia Plus package on the QTEL QATAR Mosaic Platform. In India, in addition to MSOs across the country, the channel is available on all major DTH platforms – Videocon d2h, Bharati Airtel Digital TV and the latest addition, Tata Sky.
