This is slated to get launched from October 2nd, every Monday to Friday, 10 pm. Chinna thambi is a romantic family drama. The fiction is set against both rural and urban background.

The title reminds us of the innocent character in the most acclaimed movie. In this serial, Chinna thambi, is a brave, innocent village youngster with moral values. He obeys his mother very much and loves his family. He is an ardent disciple of Lord Ganesh. And he is favourite for the girls in his village too. To describe in one word, Chinna thambi is a boy of dreams for every girl. On other side Nandhini is totally opposite in nature to Chinna thambi. She being a spoilt brat, brought in a rural background, but at the same time she has a good heart.

Coincidentally one day Chinna thambi and Nandhini meet and get into a heated argument. Chinnathambi keeps himself away from Nandhini because he is a Brahmachaari. And Nandhini too dislikes him. Will they become friends and love each other? What will happen when these contrasting characters unite in the name of marriage? Will their love overcome their contrasting personalities, cultures and values?

Kadhalikka neramillai fame Prajan is doing the male lead character as Chinnathambi. And Actress Pavani Reddy of Rettai val kuruvi fame will be pairing up with Chinnathambi as Nandhini. Television Actor Girish, Actress Rhema are doing pivotal roles in the fiction. This fiction is being directed by Arul Rasan. Musical score for this family drama is done by popular television music director Illayavan. And the Director of photography will be Ramesh. D.
