On August 15, 2014 Independence Day, Vijay TV has an interesting line-up of special programmes beginning from 8am onwards.

At 0800 hrs a special show titled ‘Nayagan The Real Life Heroes’ will feature a combination of an unsung hero and a popular film personality performing similar social tasks will be portrayed in the stage. The deed done by the film personality and the face of the unsung hero behind the initiative will be exposed to the people through this show.

At 0930 hrs special Neeya Nana; the most popular talk show of Vijay TV will bring two polarized sections of society onto a single platform and encourage them to iron out their differences. The sections will debate on the current trending issue pertaining to the Independence Day and freedom struggle. The topic for this special day would be ‘I have a dream on India’. Our country’s youth and intellectuals talk about their dream on India. Don’t miss it.

At 1400 hrs an interesting show titled ‘Anjaan Surya Special’ will feature actor Surya and his team walks in together to the sets to share the filming experience of the movie and celebrate Independence Day along with the viewers. The show will also feature a fun filled segments with the actors.

Cuckoo – Movie Premier at 11.00 AM – A heart-melting love story (inspired from real life) between two differently abled people namely, Suthanthirakodi and Tamil, directed by the debutant director Rajumurugan, a prominent journalist.

Ivan Vera Mathiri at 04.00 PM – Starting with a Law college riot, the story is spun focusing on a common man (Vikram Prabhu), who takes his turn on the faces behind the socio-political disturbances caused to the law students and brings them to justice without revealing his identity to the public.

Vishwaroopam at 7.00 PM – The blockbuster hit of 2013 is back again. The story circles around the anti-social activities lead by Omar ( Rahul Bose) in Afghanistan under the guidance of Terrorist and an undercover Indian live agent Vishwanath (Kamal Hasan) who battles them out with his team in USA preventing an intense bombing activity planned by the terrorists.
