The story tells the destiny and struggle between twin sisters who may look similar but their attitude and approach to life is what tells them apart.. Arundhathi, the elder one is the simple & calm sister while Arthi is ambitious and wants to achieve great things and enjoy the best in life.

Thanikachalam the father of these two, a postman who loses his job, shifts to Chennai from Trichy with his family.  With the help of his nephew, Manivarnan, Thankachalam and the elder daughter Arundhathi get a job in Chennai.  Arthi doesn’t want to work but she takes advantage of her similarity with Arundathi and fools a lot of people. Arundhathi happens to meet a guy called Jayaprakash who is rich and wealthy.   They get to know each other and become friends; he even offers her a job in his company.

But Arthi who comes to know about her sister’s friendship with a wealthy man tries to exploit the relationship by imitating Arundathi. What follows are the twists and turns that take the lives of these sisters on a rollercoaster ride. Would Jayaprakash come to know of Arthi’s tactics? Will the innocent Arundathi be punished for her sister’s wrong doings?

“Parijatham” comes from the same stable as the popular Maharani which is concluding on 04 Nov 2011 on the channel.  The role of twin sisters Arundhathi and Arthee is played by Razana along with Vijay Krishnaraj, Archana, Rohan, Nanda, Lakshmidevi, Ragu, Varun, Rajasekar, Ramya, Priya and many others.  The serial is directed by Sukimurthy, screenplay – Sribharathy, story – Sandras.  Launching November 7, 2011 ‘Parijatham’ would air every Monday-Friday, 6.30 pm only on Vijay TV.
