Trust Shah Rukh Khan to do things differently. Trust him, in fact, to go out of his way and do things most other stars simply wouldn’t bother to … things that bring a smile to our faces and remind us of what makes him the rockstar he is! Even as everyone thought that injury would have him resting at home and his performance at the ‘Lux Cozi Zee Cine Awards 2014 powered by Dabur Vatika Enriched Olive Hair Oil and Karbonn Mobile’ would need to be cancelled, SRK stuck to his promise and performed despite being in pain. The King Khan also did not shy away from his rehearsals with the ‘King-sized’ comedienne Bharti with whom he teamed up to spoof the films nominated in the Best Film category. And while he was at it, SRK even turned magician. No mean feat, this!

The famous Khan rivalry came into play once again in good spirit at the awards show as SRK, while presenting Dhoom 3 as the Best Film nominee, went all out and spoofed Aamir’s character of magician Sahir in the wickedly delightful way only he can. Aamir’s magician act got a roguish twist with Shah Rukh announcing that he was about to conjure on stage with a mere tap of his wand the entire length of all the fabric that has gone into designing the wardrobe of the Dhoom 3 cast … only to hold up a tiny napkin of a cloth at the end of his trick. The audience was left guffawing as he cheekily said, “Ooops … I guess that’s all that the cast of Dhoom 3 wore in the film!” Wonder what Aamir’s reaction to that would have been!

Shah Rukh’s magic show had him pulling out flowers out of thin air and presenting them to the ladies on stage, sending his hat levitating above his head, producing fireworks with his wand and what not!
