Mumbai, September 14, 2011: Two decades ago when young Dr. Zoya walked into the life of Dr. Ahmer Ansari, not only did their lives change forever but it also affected millions of South Asian television viewers. This October one of India’s finest writer, Mr Kamlesh Pandey partners producer Mr Rajan Shahi – the man behind some of the biggest hits on Indian Television to rewrite this piece of history for the Indian audiences.
Sony Entertainment Television is all set to launch the biggest romance on Indian Television in the form of their upcoming fiction show ‘Kuch To Log Kahenge’- an adaptation of the cult blockbuster Pakistani Television Drama‘Dhoop Kinare’. Based in the beautiful locales of Bhopal and the backdrop of a hospital setting, Kuch To Log Kahenge highlights the nuances of a complicated relationship when two people with a huge age difference fall in love. Premiering on October 3, 2011 and airing Every Monday to Friday at 8:00 pm the show will be launched on the back of immensely popular ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 2011’.
‘Kuch To Log Kahenge’ is a heartwarming love story between people from two different generations – brooding, handsome and mature Dr. Ashutosh and young and spirited Dr. Nidhi Verma. The show will mark return of Mohnish Behl in a lead role on small screen. And for the first time ever, Kritika Kamra will share the screen space with Mohnish Behl as a lead opposite him. The show will also see an amalgamation of veteran actors such as Alok Nath, Vijay Kashyap and Rukhsar and promising new actors.
38 – year old surgeon Dr. Ashutosh runs Dr. Kotnis General Hospital on the outskirts of Bhopal. Married to his duty, Ashutosh is a strict disciplinarian and has an unforgiving attitude towards negligence, lack of responsibility and commitment. He is a loner and does not trust any relationship in his life. On the other hand, 24-year old Dr. Nidhi Verma is carefree, jovial, fresh MBBS graduate, who has a natural gift for absolutely correct medical diagnosis. Nidhi is a fresh intern at Dr.. Kotnis General Hospital where Dr.. Ashutosh is the Chief Surgeon and Head Doctor. The duo shares a connection from the past which they are blissfully unaware of.
Will Nidhi be able to break in through the fort that Ashutosh has built around himself? What happens when both their pasts come to haunt them and pitch them against each other?
