Set in the backdrop of the Sino-Japanese war, Fighter, dubbed into Tamil, gives an insight into the life of legendary Ip Man, a grandmaster of the martial art Wing Chun, more famous as the teacher of Bruce Lee. The film is directed by Wilson Yip and action choreographed by Sammo Hung. It features Actor Donnie Yen as Ip Man and has Simon Yam, Lynn Hung, Lam Ka-tung, Xing Yu, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi and Tenma Shibuya as supporting cast.
When his city is captured during the Japanese invasion of China, a wealthy martial artist is forced to flee his house. Ip Man and the remaining citizens of the city must find a way to survive despite their lack of resources.
