Zee Anmol, the free-to-air general entertainment channel (GEC) that is steadily climbing the popularity charts, has devised various unique touchpoints to connect with its viewers at the oldest annual religious gathering ‘Magh Mela 2014’. With a view to establish a close rapport with its viewers in the heartland of India after understanding their needs, Zee Anmol’s initiatives will reach out to over lakhs of people visiting the Mela in Allahabad till 27 February 2014 to have a much organised, relaxed and memorable pilgrimage.The venue for this festival is Sangam in Allahabad, which is the confluence of three rivers Yamuna, Saraswati and Ganga. Magh Mela is celebrated annually as Kumbh Mela is held only once in every 12 years.
Lakhs of devotees come to take a dip in the in the holy Ganges. The channel has set up various relaxation areas called ‘Dil Chhoo Jaaye’ zones where hot tea and snacks will be served for people walking towards the ghat. Proper seating arrangement has been done for the elders, kids and women to take a break. There are also exclusive restrooms set up for lakhs of women who would like to change post their dip in the sacred waters.

In the chilly weather, safe and secure changing rooms and a steaming cup of tea are humble offerings by Zee Anmol that all would yearn for after taking a cold dip in the holy waters. To heighten the experience, pilgrims can also sit back and enjoy their favourite shows on large LED screens. After walking through the bylanes of Varanasi, pilgrims will be struck by the orderliness of facilities provided by Zee Anmol at the ghats.
