The show whose format is owned by BBC, has been a success across 27 countries like Britain, America, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, to name a few. A global success, countries ranging from Chile and Israel to Russia and China broadcast their versions of the format. The American version has consistently won high ratings for ABC. It maybe noted that about three years ago, and before it was pushed to the number three slot by Zee TV, SET India was the clear number two channel, just behind Star Plus.
