Amazon Prime Video announced the acquisition of exclusive streaming rights of the biggest Tamil movie of the year, Kaala. Prime members and fans of Superstar Rajnikanth can now catch his first release of the year, shortly after its theatrical release exclusively on Prime Video. Produced by Dhanush and Jairaj Parayan, the upcoming gangster-drama will be available on the service in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
It’s a blockbuster hit, revolves around a community leader who takes on a politician over the issue of housing rights for the poor and working class population in Mumbai. Directed by Pa. Ranjit, film stars Superstar Rajnikanth in the lead, along with Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, and Huma Qureshi. It’s satellite rights purchased by Star Vijay, we can very soon expect the television premiers of this movie.
